Curiosity driven and a keen observer, Maurizio father of four likes to understand differences in people’s lifestyles and cultures by the impact of new technologies and new generations
Graduated as ship captain afterwards vice champion of offshore powerboat racing, started his entrepreneurial carrier at the Rossi Group the family business mainly involved in the luxury and daily publishing businesses. He served as group vice president and board member until 2003 in charge of the internationalization and style of the luxury footwear company Rossimoda (market leader). Later, he launched a new business division of the group in the action-sport space about sport apparel & equipment dealing with some of the most established brands and companies such as NoFear, Rusty, DC Shoes Spy Optics just to mention a few reaching in 10 years a relevant business size.
In between years 2002 and 2004 the group went through exists as the footwear branch was acquired by the leading luxury holding LVMH as well both the sport and the publishing division creating a major way out of the family from their current businesses.
While a non-compete notice period he spent one year to expand the development of Yachtworld.com (leading yachting marketplace) throughout the Mediterranean region.
On 2005 Maurizio together with his partner Riccardo co-founded H-FARM to pioneer the startup industry over Italy and Europe covering the role of Founder & Co-CEO.
After having incubated and invested in over 130 companies, on 2015 the company went public to further develop its model toward the educational and the transformation space expanding the existing hub with a100M investment to a large 51 hectares or 3000 people campus aiming to support the next generation toward their evolution to innovate existing models.
The education division count k-12 IB international baccalaureate and bachelor degrees as post graduate trainings and kids camps. The transformation arm supports large corporations in their evolution process of culture and approach to technology and startups.
By end of 2019 H-FARM will counts over 700 employees in three operating sites (Venice,Milan and Barcelona) and 1300 students, expecting to grow to a gross 3000 within the next 24 months.
