Eduard R. Dörrenberg was born in Dusseldorf (Germany) in 1968. He is a great-grandson of the company founder, Dr. August Wolff. After completing his studies in mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich, he was employed for three years at the international management and consulting firm A.T. Kearney. This was followed by an MBA degree at INSEAD in Fontainebleau (Paris). In 1990/91, he interrupted his studies to develop the distribution network for Dr. Kurt Wolff GmbH & Co. KG (formerly ALCINA COSMETIC – Dr. Kurt Wolff GmbH & Co.) in Saxony and Thuringia. Since April 1998, he has been a managing partner of Dr. Kurt Wolff GmbH & Co. KG (with brands such as Alpecin and Plantur). Since October 2004, he has also been a managing partner of Dr. August Wolff GmbH & Co. KG Arzneimittel (with brands such as Linola and Vagisan). In 2014, he started the Asia expansion for the Dr. Wolff Group by founding the Dr. Wolff Singapore Pte. Ltd. He is responsible for Marketing, Sales, and R&D. Eduard R. Dörrenberg is married and has three children.
